Rook Owner Alerts

Private owner utility

Keep the owner informed.

Rook Owner Alerts sends the Rook project owner email notices about service failures, recovery, recording checks and backups.

This is a private operating tool for the owner’s account. These pages explain its Gmail connection; there is no public signup.

One purpose. One Gmail permission.

The owner authorizes Rook to send email on their behalf. Rook’s sender is configured to send its operating notices to that same owner account.

This connection does not request permission to read the inbox, contacts or Google Drive files.

How the connection works

  1. The owner approves Gmail sending in Google’s permission screen.
  2. Rook prepares an operating notice and sends it through Gmail.
  3. The owner’s Gmail rule places matching notices in the Rook Owner Alerts folder.

Control stays with the owner

The owner can remove Rook’s access through Google Account connections. Read the privacy policy for how account information and alert records are used.

Support

For connection or privacy questions, use the support email displayed on Google’s Rook Owner Alerts permission screen. This private tool is operated by the Rook project owner.
